Today DuFor is continuously improving its processes and products without losing focus on its service level. Despite the fast growth in the last years DuFor stays focused on its main objective: to be the most flexible and customer-oriented supplier of special, high-end polyesters.
After five years of substantial growth, our company outgrew its former building, therefore we had to move to a new location. DuFor’s new facility includes an 6.000 square meters warehouse with pallet racking, a 400 square meter R&D facility and plenty of office space to house all necessary activities. Further to its own move, DuFor’s sister company Cumapol invested in a brand new extrusion line to produce high-quality compounds and recycled products.
During the years 2008-2010 DuFor realized a continuous growth. The increase in activities and volumes made more direct control over the production processes necessary. To achieve this, the company Cumapol Emmen was founded, in which a restart of the SSP lines of the former Akzo / Wellman plant in Emmen was realized. Cumapol Emmen is operating 24/7 on its 60.000 tons per year Solid State Polymerization (SSP) capacity.
In 2008 DuFor Resins BV was taken over by the two current owners, Marco Brons (r) and Arjen van Kempen (l). Since then the company’s main focus is on the development of special custom made polyesters. With over 40 years of experience in product and application development, DuFor is able to translate its customers’ specific demands into the polyester needed.
DuFor Resins was founded in 1994. It started as a trading company in polymers and chemicals between The Netherlands (DUtch) and Taiwan (FORmosa). This explains the name of the company nowadays.
